1:1 Therapy

Seeking therapy can feel like a significant step, particularly if you have spent much of your life feeling misunderstood, masking who you are, or trying to fit into environments that have not recognised your unique way of experiencing the world.
I offer a therapeutic space where you do not need to explain or justify the way your mind works. My aim is to understand your experience rather than make assumptions about it.

I work from a trauma informed & neurodiversity-affirming perspective, recognising neurodivergence as a natural variation of human experience rather than something that needs to be “fixed.” Together we can explore the challenges you may be facing—such as anxiety, burnout, emotional overwhelm, rejection sensitivity, trauma, relationships, self-esteem, identity or navigating everyday life—while also recognising your strengths, values and individuality.

1:1 Therapy Sessions - £70 each

I offer weekly or fortnightly 1:1 Therapy sessions. Sessions are 50 minutes long and can be online, or in person from my private consultation room in Hove.

How We Will Work Together

At the heart of my practice is the therapeutic relationship. I believe meaningful change happens when we feel safe enough to be ourselves and experience being accepted without judgement.

My approach is warm, relational and collaborative. Therapy is not something that is done to you, but something we create together. I will listen with curiosity and compassion, offering gentle challenge when appropriate, while respecting your pace and recognising that every person’s journey is different.

Many of my clients tell me that they appreciate having a therapist who understands both the lived experience of neurodivergence and the impact that years of masking, misunderstanding or feeling “different” can have on mental health. Sessions are adapted to suit your individual needs, including your communication style, sensory preferences and ways of processing information.

I integrate person-centred therapy with trauma-informed practice, mindfulness, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) principles and other evidence-informed approaches, always tailoring therapy to what feels most helpful for you rather than expecting you to fit a particular model.

“I saw Rachel for about 1 year in total, after a serious road traffic accident that changed my life completely. Which also coincided with the loss of my Mother. I was taken by her ability to empathise , as there has been a massive change in my life. Rachel was friendly and thoroughly professional. Her approach made me feel totally at ease , speaking of absolutely anything and everything. She helped me a great deal, especially helping me come to terms with all I had lost, including physical problems I am now left with. I would recommend Rachel to anyone thinking of getting help. My time spent with Rachel was definitely worthwhile.”

Whether you identify as autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, dyslexic, dyspraxic, highly sensitive, or are exploring your own neurodivergent identity or seeking support for a recent difficulty, processing past experiences, exploring your identity, or simply looking for a space where you can feel genuinely heard, my hope is that therapy offers you the opportunity to reconnect with yourself with greater compassion, confidence and understanding.

Above all, I strive to create a therapeutic relationship where you can bring your whole self—without the need to mask, perform or be anything other than who you are.
