I offer mini workshops that I run either 1hr -2 hrs long or half a day

Mindfulness for Neurodiverse Employees:

For colleagues in a workplace, who perhaps are experiencing feeling different or knowing where their place is. Whether it’s in relation to diversity, gender, culture, or a neurodiverse condition, this is a workshop for you and your managers to consider. The workshop will focus on the relationship with our thoughts and feelings. With the themes based on acceptance and building a collaborative working with the use of mindfulness practices this workshop will be sure to build not only more resilience in you and leading to a stronger workteam.

I work with a range of presenting issues, with particular expertise in supporting those who have been diagnosed with autism and other neurodivergent conditions. My approach is neurodiversity-affirming, trauma informed integrating evidence-based therapeutic approaches to meet each client’s individual needs.

Alongside my therapy practice, I am a certified mindfulness teacher and facilitate an eight-week, in-person mindfulness programme, supporting participants to develop practical skills for managing stress, emotional wellbeing, and everyday challenges.

Apply mindfulness to enhance Communication within a workplace:

Language is an essential aspect especially in our work team and it can be difficult to always feel understood. This workshop focuses on using mindfulness to enhance our self esteem, build more clarity which will in turn help you to let go of rumination and overthinking and creating more freedom to continue communicating with your colleagues. Whether the communication is visual, physical or written you are certain to notice a change and to build more trusting and professional relationships.

Empathetic and compassionate, I tailor my approach to meet each client’s needs and goals. For neurodivergent clients, I pay particular attention to sensory needs, social communication, and imaginative processing, offering tools and insights to help them understand themselves more deeply. This process often leads to greater self-acceptance, stronger identity, and meaningful lifestyle changes.

My priority is to create a safe, open, clear way and containing therapeutic space for all my clients, where exploration of the self can unfold. Ultimately, I aim to support them in cultivating a greater depth of self-awareness, a stronger sense of self, and a more meaningful, fulfilling life.

“I saw Rachel for about 1 year in total, after a serious road traffic accident that changed my life completely. Which also coincided with the loss of my Mother. I was taken by her ability to empathise , as there has been a massive change in my life. Rachel was friendly and thoroughly professional. Her approach made me feel totally at ease , speaking of absolutely anything and everything. She helped me a great deal, especially helping me come to terms with all I had lost, including physical problems I am now left with. I would recommend Rachel to anyone thinking of getting help. My time spent with Rachel was definitely worthwhile.”

Neurodiverse specific – living with Neurodivergence

Integrating Mindfulness into Day to Day Living – for people with autism or ADHD awaiting, or recently in receipt of a diagnosis – this workshop provides some psycho education and understanding the relationship with thoughts and feelings; including to understand more about the window of tolerance. This is supported with the use of handouts, discussion and mindfulness exercises which can be adapted with the use of our senses. The aim of this workshop is to help create a little more internal peace and acceptance of ourselves.

Mindfulness for those with a loved one living with a neurodiverse condition

Sometimes we naturally as humans, can hold tension with our loved ones. This is a space where we hold as containing and non judgemental yet finding ways to let go of tensions or miscommunication and to find ways to release when we are alone or whilst we are with the others to enable us to carry on being compassionate to ourselves and others.

Further Details about all offers

With all mindfulness workshops I provide, we learn and practice the learning state. It is a technique that helps individuals focus more and cope with overwhelming life events.

This was originally practiced by the ancient Hawaiian Huna. It also helps retain new information while learning. It complements the 3-minute breathing and beginner’s mind. When entering the learning state, it enhances learning and brings awareness to our periphery, making it easier to access our feelings and breathe while shaping awareness of ourselves.

Mindful movement will also be included in each mini or longer workshop. The link between the mind and body is very strong and the tension we have in our bodies often influences how we think, feel, and act in the world.

The important part is bringing awareness to the relationship we have with body and mind. Movement is an important part of daily practice and with some gentle movement included to support the release; prior to a workshop; an intake discussion would take place to gain clarity on the attendees mental & physical health.

All mindfulness workshops also include psycho educating, mindfulness exercise, discussions. The aim of this is for you to have built more tools to support becoming aware with the present moment in time and building upon awareness.
