8-Week Mindfulness Programme

This evidence-informed eight-week mindfulness programme offers a practical and compassionate introduction to mindfulness, supporting participants to develop greater awareness, emotional resilience, and building more understanding between our thoughts & emotions.
During the course, participants learn how to step out of “automatic pilot” and cultivate present-moment awareness through a range of guided mindfulness practices, reflective exercises, discussion, and home practice.

Each week introduces new mindfulness skills, including:

  • Mindfulness of breathing and the body
  • Body scan, mindful movement and mindful walking
  • Understanding thoughts, emotions and habitual patterns
  • Responding rather than reacting to stress and difficult experiences
  • Developing self-compassion, resilience and acceptance
  • Integrating mindfulness into work, relationships and everyday life
  • Creating a sustainable personal mindfulness practice beyond the course
The programme combines guided meditation, experiential learning, poetry, stories, group discussion and weekly home practice to help participants build confidence in applying mindfulness to the challenges of daily life.
By the end of the programme, participants will have developed practical skills to manage stress more effectively, increase emotional awareness, improve self-care, and respond to life’s difficulties with greater balance, kindness and clarity.

“I saw Rachel for about 1 year in total, after a serious road traffic accident that changed my life completely. Which also coincided with the loss of my Mother. I was taken by her ability to empathise , as there has been a massive change in my life. Rachel was friendly and thoroughly professional. Her approach made me feel totally at ease , speaking of absolutely anything and everything. She helped me a great deal, especially helping me come to terms with all I had lost, including physical problems I am now left with. I would recommend Rachel to anyone thinking of getting help. My time spent with Rachel was definitely worthwhile.”
