Supervision

Clinical supervision is much more than discussing cases. It is a collaborative relationship where there is space to think, reflect, challenge, learn and be supported. I aim to create a supervision relationship where you feel genuinely understood, respected and able to bring both your clinical work and yourself into the room.
I offer neurodiversity-affirming supervision for therapists who identify as neurodivergent themselves, as well as for practitioners working with autistic and other neurodivergent clients. I also provide supervision for organisations, clinical teams and managers who wish to develop neurodiversity-informed practice within their services.

My approach is relational, collaborative and grounded in curiosity. Rather than assuming there is a “right” way to practise, I work alongside you to explore what is happening in the therapeutic relationship, your clinical thinking, and your own responses. Together we can make sense of complexity while remaining compassionate towards both ourselves and our clients.

I understand that many neurodivergent therapists have spent years adapting themselves to fit professional expectations that were not designed with neurodivergent ways of thinking, processing or communicating in mind. Supervision should not be another place where masking feels necessary. My aim is to offer a space where your authentic way of working is welcomed and valued, while supporting you to practise safely, ethically and with confidence.

For therapists working with neurodivergent clients, supervision provides an opportunity to deepen neurodiversity-affirming practice, reflect on relational dynamics, consider sensory, communication and processing differences, and move away from deficit-based models towards approaches that recognise and build upon individual strengths.

My supervision is informed by over 25 years of working alongside autistic individuals and their families, alongside my work as an accredited psychotherapist and behaviour specialist. I integrate person-centred values with trauma-informed practice, mindfulness, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) principles and current neurodiversity-affirming approaches, always adapting supervision to the individual practitioner rather than expecting practitioners to fit a single model.
